Cigarette Smoke Detector
System Selection Guide

STEP 1.  Selecting the right cigarette smoke detection system for your facility depends your answer to the question of how you want to handle the violation of a smoker.

Local enforcement of smoking rules:
   • Internal Alarm
      Cigarette smoking detector models xx20 contain a
      battery operated alarm to drive smokers from area.
   • Common Courtesy
      Our talker cigarette smoking detector model xx78
      plays a changeable voice message in monitored area
      to verbalize rules. 

Remote indicator informs personnel nearby:
   • Short Range Wireless - Cigarette smoking detector
      models xx30 trigger Horn, Strobe or combination
      Horn/Strobe indicator up to 50' away when smoking
      starts.
   • Hardwired - Customer runs four conductor cables
      between cigarette smoking detector models xx40 and
      indicator.  This allows Horn, Strobe, or combination
      Horn/Strobe indicator to be at longer distances than
      wireless system.

Centralized remote system to catch smokers:
   • Long Range Wireless Paging System  - Up to 16
      cigarette smoking detectors can be linked to a paging
      system to catch smoker in the act, alerting
      administrator of location of smoker.  For this system,
      an RF Receiver and Paging System are combined
      with cigarette smoking detector models xx10 for each
      monitored area. Depending on your facility, you may
      also need a Signal Repeater.
   • Long Range Wired System  - Run cables from up
      to 16 detectors to a receiver up to 5000' away.  The
      receiver alerts administrator to location of smoker.
   • Wi Fi - Enabled System  - Unlimited cigarette
      smoking detectors can be linked to our Wi Fi system.
      The administrator can be alerted when a smoker
      lights up immediately via PC or cell phone.
